Move On

Move on

The nights are cold as the days are bitter
Friends will go and love will shatter
Moral is down and life seems low
Hope is lost and blood will flow
Why do we dream, why do we bother
To wake up cold in a bed that is shallow
Our hearts are cold to frosted to care
The light dims out quickly, too much to bear
But life move’s on so quickly it seems
Like a race against time, we are no machine
To feel this way is only human
To love, to care, is pure emotion
As life goes on we learn our lesson
To keep our heads high, no time for permission
We ask too much, and care too little
Yet love is there, no need to dismiss it
Our lives’ will go on, and love will be found
Children be born, and mouths to be fed
As long as we remember our one simple rule
Find the love of your life and never forget her
